Let’s get familiar with Halal. Why is fresh Halal meat special and a limited market? How we eliminate those limitations? Well, let’s dive in..
What is Halal Meat?
Halal basically means permissible — which is important because not all meats are lawful for Muslim people. There are important methods that a butcher must take in order to make it Halal. We have an experienced butcher Samer who has that necessary knowledge. First and foremost, he will bless the food and put the animal towards Qibla, which is a direction for prayer.
Halal butchering—A painless and humane process.
In addition to the Qibla, it is very important that every animal is killed by hand. This doesn’t mean our butcher will literally wrestle the animal before sacrificing it. It has to be done by sharp knife and swiftly, so animal feels least amount of pain. Afterwards body has to be drained of blood. All of our livestock is alive and healthy which is crucial for the process. Dead animals cannot be slaughtered and be considered Halal.
